徐维超教授，男，山东青岛人。1970年4月出生。1988年9月至1993年6月就学于中国科学技术大学，无线电技术专业，获工学学士；1993年9月至1996年7月就学于中国科学技术大学，通信与电子系统专业，获工学硕士学位；1997年1月至2001年12月就学于香港大学，医疗信号处理专业，获哲学博士学位。从2000年1月至2011年2月期间，在香港大学电机电子工程系分别担任助教、助研、副研究员、博士后研究员等职务，2011年5月加入广东工业大学自动化学院，任“百人计划”特聘教授。主要从事统计信号处理、统计模式识别、优化理论、快速算法等方向的研究。迄今已发表英语论文 20 余篇，其中SCI、EI、ISTP收录16篇。主持和参加了多项科研项目，总经费约395万港元。
